In addition to working on Young Arts, Church Recording, and Church Trails, members of The Arts Society may serve as Heritage Volunteers in many roles including Archive maintenance, repairing fabric articles and furnishings, and serving as Guides at visitor attractions.

Heritage Volunteers may be asked to help with conservation work; to collate press cuttings; to act as guides; and even to assist with community projects. Training can be obtained at The Arts Society HQ in London or may be offered an ongoing activity on site.

Our North Kent members are currently working as Heritage Volunteers at: Downe House (Darwin Museum), City of Westminster Archives, University College Library, and Tate Britain. The photograph on the right shows our volunteers conserving archive documents .

If you are interested in involvement at the sites listed below details can be obtained from our Volunteers Co-ordinator Sue Clayton. (See our ‘Committee’ page for contact details.)
